IsBrill is a website for creating pages explaining why the thing you love is brill dot com.

IsBrill was started by Matt around 2012 using a custom-written (super fast) modular system. It was not, however, much good for editing by other authors. Version 2 (and 3) improved this greatly. This is version 4. IsBrill-4 makes use of some Open-source software to do a lot more with a lot less effort.

Design

IsBrill is an objectively ugly website. This was a conscious design decision due to us not taking the whole thing seriously in the least. It has stayed ugly in the spirit of having fun and not worrying about it. After all, brill things should be so interesting, you forget to notice the packaging.

Write your own brill page

We plan to let you come in and make a brill page of your own. However, it is not yet ready for anyone really. When we open the doors, we intend to have a really easy-to-use experience. One day…
